Candy Warpop recently released a music video for the song Smilefucker from their Pre-Op Lollipop EP. This five-piece is a rock band from Las Vegas. I got to see them play at Neon Reverb. It was a very energetic live set, I'm glad I got to see them play. The video they produced is a bit odd, weird, and creepy. The creepy part is when the singer (in the form of a pinata star) starts getting beat and candy is falling out (candy, lollipops?). A kind of Twilight Zone creepy, like when in the movie (Twilight Zone) where the girl gets trapped in the TV set and gets killed by a cartoon character. Yeah, creepy. Very cool video though, I like it a lot. Maybe they'll continue the story of the birthday girl in a second music video for the remix version of Smilefucker off of Post-Op Lollipop, like California Love. That would be cool too.
