The EP, Darker Days, is the debut release of Enemy of the Sun. It's heavy, aggressive, and full of energy. Opening the EP is its' title track, with a wave of dissonant chords, ringing out alongside pulse pounding drums, awaiting an oncoming onslaught of struggles. It's a call-to-arms on the opening verse, vocals on point and everything else cued to 11. This track sets the framework for the rest of the EP – tons of crunchy guitars, double pedal action and energetic vocals. The occasional guitar lead takes the spotlight while a good mosh breakdown will happen from time to time (I LOVE THOSE). The message and themes are varied, covering quite a bit of ground, and are generally positive, but not without a struggle to help keep things on the right path. And although the oncoming days may seem bleak according to Enemy of the Sun, hey, it sounds pretty fucking great to me.
