I've been visiting Kickstarter a lot lately. There's a lot of cool projects going on right now. One project in particular caught my attention. The new Five Iron Frenzy album, to come out sometime in 2013. I think within hours of the project being launched, it immediately met its goal of $30,000 and at this point, still have 41 days to go. I'm curious to see if this project could break $200,000 by the end of its run. Money raised after the goal will go toward festivals and shows. Some demos, ideas and even sheet music are available for the song, It was a Dark and Stormy Night. It's sounding pretty cool at the moment and I'm pretty sure the finished product will sound even better. It's been a while since they released anything new, so I'm pretty stoked to hear some new Five Iron Frenzy. Check out the project here.

The compilation, Sí San José, features nine bands local to San Jose, Costa Rica with two tracks from each of the bands. Produced by Vito Petruzzelli, Daniel Ortuño, and Adrian Poveda, the compilation features tracks by Las Robertas, The Great Wilderness, The Tower, Niño Koi, Monte, Polar, Los Problemas, Zopilot!, and Continental. The songs were recorded live in an old house by each of the bands using only a board mixer and four-track cassette recorder. Each of the songs were recorded in one take with some overdubbed vocals. The songs vary from band to band, with some being a bit more punk influenced than others. There's a bit of rockabilly and even tracks with some electronica and others just strictly instrumental compositions. It's a nice variety of tunes from the San Jose local scene. And Sí San José is not just a compilation of songs, it's also a documentary. More info on that will be posted on their website soon. Check some of the music out. Links:
Website Elba released a new self-titled album in September. It has 10 tracks on it, very sweet tunes. IDLEfilms produced a music video for the track, From a Sinking Ship. It's a really lovely song. Check it. I'm still thinking about the mid-season finale of the Walking Dead. Damn, that was a good episode. It sucks to know that Sophia was there the entire time. I'm curious to know when exactly Hershel and company picked her up and brought her back to the barn without running into Rick and everyone. And as I remember, Otis didn't have a problem with shooting down zombies. February better hurry up and get here fast. How was everyone's Thanksgiving? I got to munch on a lot of good food on that day. Yup, yup. Didn't partake in any Black Friday shopping. The Godfather part I and II were on AMC. Fell asleep half way through II just because it was pushing morning time all ready. Didn't really stick to my marathon schedule, that was just backup :-D I saw this not too long ago. Dead Icons pre-orders are up for their new album, Condemned, through Bullet Tooth Records. Check it out here. A new song is also streaming, Folding Aces. It's a really tight track. Hear it for yourself down below. I think the new album will also have songs from the Vultures EP. The new album should drop on January 24. It's gonna be really dope. Check out this band if you haven't all ready. For real. Links:
