Hope everyone is doing awesome! It was record store day this month and I didn't get a chance to pick up anything exclusive, or anything at all for that matter. How about you? ehhhhhhh.

Anyway, did you know it's also jazz appreciation month? I bet ya didn't. Well it is! hehe. Well, instead, I have some sweet ska/reggae/punk for ya, but I do close the track with a pretty sweet jazz track. It's a more contemporary style track rather than cool/bebop/hard bob kind of stuff. I'd call it more free jazz avante garde kind of stuff. Really interesting tracks from the band, Mothguts. Awesome band name too.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here's a st. patty's day story for ya:

When I was 20-years-old, I went to the bar to watch a friend's band play. Sure I thought I'd get carded, but all I wanted to do was watch my friends play music. Please, give me the bracelet, or x's on my hands, whatever that would declare me underage to buy drinks. I didn't care. Just let me in the bar to listen to music.

Nope.

I didn't get carded. Instead, I received a stamp of approval. Approval of what? I took a seat on front of the band. A waitress came up to me and asked what I wanted. I ordered a pint of Pabst. I saw other friends who were of age in the bar eyeing me out. I just said "Cheers!."
