Hoping to release all my episodes that were once on iTunes and ones that didn't make it on before I started re-releasing back on iTunes. If you're subscribed to the podcast, you'll be getting. But I'll be sure to post on here as well. Please don't mind the difference in quality, I was still getting use to this "podcasting" thing, lol. Actually, I'm still trying to figure it out. haha. Enjoy. And thanks again for listening! Go 2018!

Another one FROM THE VAULT! This episode was the 4th one I released with an original release date at 08/04/2010. Check out show notes HERE
It features tracks from (Order of the) White Rose, a hardcore/punk band from Maui, UNIT F, a band which I saw at the Double Down Saloon at the time, good live stuff. Also on the show is a track by Sanity in Numbers, a punk band from Canada and 5 Days Dirty, a punk band from East Bay California, whom I've seen a few times in Oregon. Always a great live set and a great live sound. And closing the episode is Casket Life, off of their last album (new at the time), which was cool because I had only started listening to them with their album, The Good Times are Killing Me. I'm not sure if any of these bands are active still, I know members from Casket Life have gone on to Bro Loaf, but other than that...But ya know, their tunes still hold up for sure. Enjoy this episode!

The first interview of the year! Melanie of Melotov Records joins me on the show. Some bands on the roster includes Tiger Flowers, Bone Dance, Calculator, Old Wounds, The Banner, Tidemouth, ACxDC, Vices, Nomads...and a bunch more.
Check out the entire catalog on BANDCAMP.
Vinyl is available through Deathwish Inc.
The label went on hiatus at the end of 2016 and we touch base on that for a little bit on the chat. We also talk formats, interning at Metal Blade, shows, what she's been listening to lately and a whole bunch more. It was a dope time.
Melanie also picked out the playlist for this show. Tunes on this episode by Antichrist Demoncore, Deadhead, Globe and Beast, SEIZURES, and Tidemouth.

Here to Take it Back once again!
Another one FROM THE VAULT: Episode #05, original release date - 09/02/2010.
Check out show notes HERE
At the time, I was checking out bands on Reverbnation and found a page from a Big Island band, Augustine. Pretty cool heavy type tunes. Dope stuff. The drummer, I was told, originally played in Sideline Hero which was cool. Also on this episode is another tight heavy band from Las Vegas, .bipolar.. Love the riffs from this band, pretty simple structures, and heavy as f**k. Across the Sun are (were) a band from the pacific northwest, were independent for a bit before signing with Metal Blade and releasing one album. They knew how to blend synths with their metalcore breakdowns and what not, the vocals were awesome too. In Vacuo were a band I found through Moshpit Tragedy Records and then later on Just Say No! Records. I think for a bit that label was based in Las Vegas and found their records at the local Zia. Not sure what happend after. And Verona, well, found them through Myspace when Myspace was still awesome for bands. Now it's not anymore. Ugh. Hope ya enjoy listening to this episode. A couple of these bands are still active too, which is dope.
Thanks for listening! And go eat some pie! yeeeeeeeee

NEW EPISODE IS AWAKE!
EPISODE #124 is now active! Stream the new episode below, HERE, tumblr or on YouTube.
Did anyone see the new Tomb Raider? Pretty good stuff. Side note: I have never completed a Tomb Raider game...yet!
Keeping it heavy on this episode. Hope everyone had a good weekend with lots of drinks and what not.
Here's my St. Patricks Day story.
I was 20 years old and went to a local bar in small town La Grande, Oregon, where I was going to school at the time. I won't say which bar though :-p. A couple friends played in a band and were performing at the bar that night. I wanted to go see them play, knew that I'd be carded, but thought maybe I could see the band and just be marked a minor or something. Turns out at the bar, they didn't card me, but instead just asked for the $5 cover charge. YASSSSS. I'M IN!
I sit close to the stage, a couple friends at the bar, including the ones in the band saw me...kind of confused, wondering how I got in. They didn't say anything. A waitress takes my order - A PINT OF PBR, I say! I didn't know what else to order, as that was my first drink to order EVER (When I did turn 21, my first drink was a Long Island Ice Tea, cuz That 70's Show, and I was watching Bobby Lee do stand-up). Ordered a couple more drinks during the night, saw my friends' band play, twas' a GREAT NIGHT!
Music on today's show by Ascend/Descend (BANDCAMP), Blighted (BANDCAMP), Fissure (BANDCAMP, MELOTOV RECORDS), Ill-Informed (BANDCAMP), and Skullcrack (BANDCAMP).
Enjoy the tunes, check out the other bands' tunes on their respective links. Thanks for listening!

FROM THE VAULT!
Check out Episode #06 HERE
Original release date: 10/06/2010
This was the first ska-themed episode I released and was stoked to be able to play a track from Codename: Rocky. The first (and only) time I've seen them at that point was at a ska-festival I went to during spring break in Las Vegas. I think that was the first time I got a black eye too. I wasn't punched in the eye, but rather, someone smacked by by accident. It hurt enough and began swelling, slowly and eventually turned black by the end of the night. I went back to school two days later with weird looks lol. Seven years later, Codename: Rocky would release a new album! yeeee!
Also on the show are tracks by The Best of the Worst and Beat the Red Light, two very aggressive punk/ska bands. Really good stuff. One is 'local,' the other from the UK. The Pinstripes were a really tight reggae/two-tone type band with awesome grooves and melodies. Lots of harmony to boot too. And Target for Tomorrow and the Horns of Destruction (awesome name btw) were are cool ska/rock band from Oregon. They eventually released a full-length and later disbanded I believe. Cool tunes from the northwest.
Enjoy this episode from the past! And check out these bands other music. I'm pretty sure it's still on Bandcamp and other digital outlets.
Thanks for listening!

NEW EPISODE IS KICKING!
EPISODE #126 is AVAILABLE FOR LISTENING! PLEASE LISTEN! Listen below, HERE, YouTube, tumblr, or on iTunes. Subscribe if ya haven't all ready!
It's an 18th and Addison themed show! Tom of the New Jersey rock band joins me on the show and it was a pretty rad time. The band has been active since 2014, but members are seasoned musicians having been in previous projects well before the start of 18th and Addison. Tom was kind enough to handpick the playlist on this episode which features tracks from their album, Makeshift Monster, Little Parasites, an exclusive single, and a new track from their upcoming EP, Vultures.
We touch base on new music, touring life, shows, shows, shows, shows, the benefits and glory of all things social media, and what Tom is currently listening to at the moment. ******This episode was recorded back in March, so don't be confused if we reference stuff that happened all ready, like the when I mention NEW FOUND GLORY and the kick ass show they did here last month. My talk with Tom was excellent, fun and rad! YASSSSSS!
They do a cool regular segment on YouTube called, Covers from the Kitchen. Ya'll should check it out.
Happy 4/20 ya'll, IMMA PICK UP SOME PIZZA

FROM THE VAULT!- EPISODE #07
Check episode notes HERE.
Original release date: 10/11/2010
This episode featured more rock/progressive rock/emo type tracks. An excellent playlist (I think it is yeeee). On this episode are dope tunes by The Art of Abandonment, OneStarCity, Pennylane, Sound the Sky and Sprockets. To this day I still can't find a a copy of OneStarCity's album. Sound the Sky disbanded a little back but would later regroup as Boigirl, but not sure how active they've been as a band. Good stuff tho. Just a snapshot of what I was listening to in October 2010.
Did any of ya'll see Avengers? HOLY COW
Anyway, new episodes in the horizon, so please keep checking back. Thanks for listening!

EPISODE #127
New episode is NOW AVAILABLE FOR YOUR EARS! Stream below, HERE, YouTube, or on tumblr. This podcast is also an Apple Podcast, so be sure to check it out on iTunes and subscribe if you haven't all ready.
Each track has been carefully selected for this particular episode! It's a batch of excellent songs by some excellent bands. On this episode are tracks by The Ditches (BANDCAMP), Gasoline Kills (BANDCAMP), Illicitor (BANDCAMP), Still Alive (BANDCAMP), and Toxic Kid (BANDCAMP).
Holy cow, I won tickets to go see Silverstein the other night. I didn't have a +1 to take with me. Mentioned it on facebook, instagram, etc., I guess maybe everyone bought their tickets, no one didn't want to go, or no one cared I had an extra ticket. blah. Anyway, it was a sick show. Maybe I'll talk about it more on a future episode.
Any one with plans tomorrow? I be doing some brunch with family. Have a wonderful Mother's Day ya'll.
Enjoy this episode. As always, thanks for listening!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic Sunday! It's nice and windy here on Oahu.
Lava still active and flowing on the Big Island. Fissures and magma spewing. It's bad for a lot of families. Check this out HERE if ya want to help out.
Some pretty excellent tunes on today's episode. On this show I play tunes by She Likes Todd (BANDCAMP), The Unlovables (BANDCAMP, WHOA OH RECORDS), Mr. Orange Undercover, The Barren Marys (BANDCAMP, SNUBBED RECORDS), and Slick Shoes (BANDCAMP)
So stoked to hear Slick Shoes will be releasing more new music. I have some renewed hope that I'll have the opportunity to see them live sometime soon. How dope is that? DOPE.
Enjoy the episode! Thanks for listening!

FROM THE VAULT - EPISODE #08
Original Release Date: 10/19/2010
On this episode are tunes by The Quintessentials, Social Concern, Raised by Apes, Crookedhook and Mayflower. Check out show notes HERE
At this point of the podcast, I was gaining some traction with the podcast and getting in touch with bands, still, through myspace. The great disaster-upgrade of 2010 didn't happen yet...or did it? I had always listened to The Quintessentials (and it's affiliated projects - The Catalogs, Crawling Chaos, and The Products) and was stoked when I got in touch with Les. Haven't met him in real life, but always a treat to see him play at a show. Social Concern was a band I checked out after I saw them on a flyer for a Portland, Oregon show alongside Faithless Saints. By 2010, this trio had released two excellent punk albums, and 2010 would be the year they released their final album, Cut and Dry, before disbanding shortly after...or not. But other projects had form from members' since then, one (or two?) of which may still be active today. I saw Raised by Apes play in Las Vegas at the Double Down alongside Eken is Dead and I think, S.F.T. (Shitfaced Tattoos). Excellent skate punk, but I don't think they're active anymore. Crookedhook was another band from Canada that disbanded sometime after their last EP, Breathe Pollution. Excellent punk/ska/reggae, they were kind of enough to place a link to this podcast on their website. I thought that was the coolest thing ever, of course, being in the first year of this podcast, that was the BEST THING EVER. Mayflower was a band I heard through a compilation, one of those free ones online. I forget which one, but they did have records through Kiss of Death. And I think shortly after the release of Second Best Sunsets, they decided to dump all social media and stick to a website...or nothing at all. Not sure. But they wrote some kick ass tunes. Enjoy this episode FROM THE VAULT. Thanks for listening everyone! Have an awesome weekend!.

FROM THE VAULT - EPISODE #09
Original Release Date: 10/31/2010
On this episode are tunes by Go Jimmy Go, The Rudeness, The Sidewalks, Big D and the Kids Table and La Muñeca y Los Muertos.
For some reason, I decided to release a Ska themed episode on Halloween. I was doing nothing that day. Except working. At a Gas station. In Las Vegas. On Halloween. There was also a big pool party happening down the street from work. Word of mouth travels fast lol.
I was fortunate enough to get a reply from someone, I forget who, from Big D on myspace. I was pretty happy with that, to get a reply at all. I was spinning Fluent in Stroll all the time. It was a quite a bit of a change, following up, Strictly Rude, but I loved (and still do) every beat of it. I was also stoked to get a reply from Eric from Go Jimmy Go through an email. Getting replies from members of some of my favorite bands was sure a delight. And speaking of Eric, he has a new project with a group of other rad musicians, The Elevations. And they be playing at the Sailor Jerry Festival happening next week. Vintage soul. The Rudeness, The Sidewalks and La Muñeca y Los Muertos, were bands I found while scrolling through myspace and CD BABY. Excellent tunes and rad sounds, but I think all three have been disbanded for a while now. Enjoy this blast from the past of an episode. New ones will be released in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for listening!
I'm gonna check out HEREDITARY cuz that looks freaky as shi*t. And Hotel Artemis, cuz Dave Bautista, as an orderly. Looks amazing. Have a good weekend!

FROM THE VAULT - EPISODE #10
Original Release Date: 11/13/2010
On this episode are tunes by Peccadilloes (members have gone on to now perform in Gashers), Mistermeaner, Generic, Up the Fury, and The Revision Plan.
This was a milestone episode for me, TEN whole episodes! It was exciting times for sure. I was chatting with people/bands, people were checking out the episodes, I was stoked about where this was going. Still had no idea what I was getting myself into as well lol. Anyway, I thought with this episode I'd revisit and play tunes from some of my favorite bands. I was also fortunate to hear back from Peccadilloes and Up the Fury, both who of which were rarely active at the time (and no longer active, currently). But I was lucky enough to catch a reunion show of Peccadilloes some odd years later...I'll have to check back exactly what year...I know I tweeted about it lol.
HEY THIS SHOW TURNS 8-YEARS-OLD NEXT WEEK. Will probably celebrate with a cool episode. Until then, thanks for listening! Have a good weekend everyone!

EPISODE #131 IS ACTIVE! LISTEN HERE or HERE
So it's another GC Themed Show! The homie, Shahab, of GC RECORDS joins me on the show again (check out Episode #96)
I asked Shahab if he'd join me on the podcast for another GC RECORDS THEMED SHOW just because in EXACTLY 1 YEAR FROM NOW, GC Records will celebrate 20 years! Holy Cow. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! It's a SATURDAY btw, June 29, 2019.
It was a fun talk, as always! We go into some details about the label's anniversary, more history and cool stories about some bands and artists, current releases, pending ones, and upcoming ones too. Shahab also dropped some knowledge about Chumbawamba that I didn't know about - I enjoyed that. And I also asked about another one of his projects, My Nam is Art, short film. I had a lot of questions for him lol. But there's also music on the show too! All of it available on BANDCAMP.
On this episode, tunes by Gasoline Kills, ESL?!, The GC Family, Jesse Pino & the Vital Signs, and Illicitor.
Thanks everyone for listening! Support independent music!

EPISODE #132 HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! LISTEN HERE OR HERE
Right now there is a Kickstarter Campaign for a documentary on Ska music titled, Pick it Up! Ska in the 90's.
It reached it's initial goal and on it's way to a 3rd stretch goal. Good stuff. The crew of the film has so far interview members of Reel Big Fish, Dance Hall Crashers, Less than Jake, Kemuri, MU330, The Aquabats, Mustard Plug...and a ton more...and I believe bands are currently still being added to the list. Check out the campaign HERE or visit the official website HERE.
Taylor Morden, the director of the film, is a guest on the podcast. We touch base on the film, the Kickstarter Campaign, his musical background, and all things Ska. We also get into different sub-genres of Ska and his top 5 favorite Ska records.
The campaign is still ongoing so be sure to check it out and consider contributing.
On this episode are tunes by No Doubt, Goldfinger, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, The Toasters and Fishbone. Timestamps HERE
Thanks for listening! Support independent music. Support your local ska band.

EPISODE #134 IS ALIVE AND WELL! LISTEN HERE OR HERE
This is a Survival Guide themed show! Emily Whitehurst joins me on this episode. You may also know her from past projects such as Tsunami Bomb and The Action Design.
Her latest album is titled, Live and Alone, a live recording of acoustic arrangements of previous songs. Survival currently has 2 albums (Way To Go [2015], and Live and Alone [2018]) and 2 7" EP's (Hot Lather Machine and Wildcat).
Our conversation covers her latest album, updates on new material, future tour plans, preferred music formats, and food! We actually talked quite a bit on food toward the end of our talk, so much of that ended up being cut otherwise this would have turned into a foodie podcast lol. Anyway, our talk covers a lot of different things. It was fun and awesome time.
The songs on this episode were handpicked by Emily, so you'll some rad tunes. Be sure to check her music on BANDCAMP, Spotify, and Apple Music. Video of her performance for the live album is also streaming on her YouTube Channel (HERE). She's also on PATREON
Thanks for listening!

Taking it back SUNDAY, From the vault: EPISODE #11
Check out show notes on this episode HERE. Original release date: 11/18/2010.
At the time, I was heavily into Abandon the Raft at the time (has some ties with ENTITY AWAKENED). Lots of Prize Country (loud noise from Portland, Oregon). I had also seen Eken is Dead play at the Double Down in Las Vegas. I think they did some Rage against the Machine covers at the show. Raised by Apes played that same night (excellent skate punk from Canada). I also found Ninjaspy through CD Baby (haven't shopped on that site in a long time). Ninjaspy's sound consisted of metal/reggae...like...very interesting approach to it. Not sure if they're still around. But I think their follow up release came with a comic...And it was cool to hear that Pacifica (local band originally from the islands) were working on tunes. The EP was released that year along with a cool music video. But I think the band has since disbanded. I thought this was a mix of heavy/prog rock. Have a chill Sunday everyone. New episode sometime soon. Thanks for listening!

Holy cow! A NEW EPISODE!
It's been a month and some change since the last episode. This episode was recorded when Solo: A Star Wars Story was released in theaters. Volcanic activity was happening on the Big Island of Hawaii. Since then, we've had two Hurricane warnings, Lane and Olivia. Sending out good vibes and good thoughts to everyone affected by Florence.
On this episode, I'm joined by two wonderful people, Chad and Chelsey of the 3-piece avant-garde rock band, Perennial (BANDCAMP). They are a part of the Howling Frequency Family (BANDCAMP).
We get into the good stuff on this episode: Top 5 records of all time, LP2, SOLO, our personal "island" albums, and a bunch of other stuff. It was a great conversation and a wonderful time! They be working on new music, but they be playing tons of shows as well! Be sure to check them out!
