- EPISODE #61 is now available! Let's kick the tires and light the fires big daddy.
Download the episode HERE. Listen to this episode and others HERE.
It's finally here! The first episode of 2013! It's been several months since the last episode. The last episode was released back in November. I kind of just got swamped with a bunch of different things all at once...work, school, Thanksgiving dinner, the season finale of The Walking Dead, you know, the usual. Speaking of The Walking Dead, is everyone prepared for the season finale this weekend? This past one was pretty dramatic as all hell, but a pretty damn good one at that. But I won't give any spoilers here. No sir. #poordaryl
New Year's was great and the year is going pretty fantastic so far. And as for new releases, some pretty nice albums coming out so far. Did anyone check out the new Stolas album, Living Creatures? The new album is streaming in its entirety HERE. It was released earlier this month (it's pretty damn awesome) and I believe they've been on the road since then.

And how about these upcoming shows (in Hawaii). Siblings record release show. Free. Pick up the record (HERE). Listen to a new track from the record HERE. Should be pretty amazing show. Also, Clones of the Queen will be playing! Check'em, go check'em, goooo!
Today's episode picks up where I last left off. This was actually supposed to be released sometime after Thanksgiving of last year. It's a set of some new tunes that were released throughout last year. It's another sorta themed show featuring electronica, synth-pop and shoegaze based tunes. On the show are local dream-pop trio, Clones of the Queen with a track from their Braided EP. From the Furious Hooves label, Man Eating Sloth with a track from the Schitzengigz EP and Beadroom with a track from the Vivid album. With one more show left to play as a band, which they also still have yet to announce, a track from Silian Rail's latest album, Each/Other is on the show. And from their debut album, Looming, is the track, Floating Omen, from the trio, Negative Pegasus. Really excellent tunes on this first episode of 2013.
I noticed a surge of downloads this month alone of past episodes. Thanks everyone who checked out the podcasts! I hope ya'll are enjoying them. This podcast hasn't gone away. It just came back from hibernation. And I know I didn't release a Top 25 this past year, but I did have my list and did get some pre-production done for it. Maybe I'll release it later this year...until then, please enjoy this episode! And support local music! And thank you for stopping by. And as always, thanks for listening :-D

- EPISODE #62 is ready to take off! It's game time.

How is everyone doing? The semester is about to wrap up here soon...I can't wait. I notice that towards the end of the term, usually after mid-terms, the parking lot doesn't fill up quite as fast, if it does at all, than at the beginning of the term. I don't have a parking pass and so this is great for people like me...who choose to not buy a parking pass.
I have finally joined the world of Netflix recently and have just been watching a crap load of Quantum Leap episodes when I have the time to do so. I didn't know Dr. Sam Beckett had six doctorates. And what a way to start the series...with some memory loss. Interesting stuff. oh boy!
Lately I've been shuffling through my iPod and listening to albums that I'd fall asleep to after working late late hours at my first job when I first moved into the city (Hillsboro, Oregon) after college. So I've been listening to a lot of Murder City Devils. I'm kind of re-falling in love with this band. I did some browsing and came across Triumph of Lethargy Skinned Alive to Death. They've released a bunch of stuff. Listening to their tunes will take some time to get used to. And it just so happen that I came across a posting from another band's Facebook about a kickstarter campaign by one, Spencer Moody. Check it out HERE. Mr. Moody is seeking pledges for a rock n' roll record he wants to make. He still has quite a ways to go with less than two weeks left for the campaign. I hope he makes it.
Record Store Day is happening this weekend! What are you going to be picking up? I don't know yet. But I wish I were in Las Vegas. Talib Kweli will be performing at the Zia Records store on Eastern for Record Store Day. The store I'd go to many a times late night, morning time, before work and what not. Pet Tigers will also be playing too. Really fun band to listen to. Can't wait till their record is finally released.
Today's episode features some heavier tunes. Excellent stuff. On this episode is a track from Anchor's newest album, Lost at the Bottom of the World. The song is titled, Lazarus Sign. Also on the show is another track from Ultima Victima, off of their, Muertes Sin Razon, EP and A Victory at Sea with a track from their newest EP, Hopeful, titled, With a Voice. Also on the show is a track from Canyons with a track from their three-way split with Foreign Theaters and Tigon titled, Can't Have Nothin' Nice. What an excellent split. And closing the show is a new one from No Contest. They recently recently released two new songs on their Bandcamp (check it out HERE). Enjoy the tunes on this new episode. I do. For sure. Support your local scene! Support local businesses. Pick something up this weekend.
Special thanks to everyone who has been downloading episodes and stopping by the website. It's nice to see the activity that's happening on here. As always, thanks for listening! :-D
