1. Anchors

Anchors are a five-piece punk band from Melbourne. The band formed in 2008 and has since released two full-length records. In late 2010 the band released, Bad Juju, which was later released in 2011 on vinyl through Creator Destructor Records. They released their second full-length, Lost at the Bottom of the World, last year. Their newest record features twelve new songs of aggressive punk and rock with some key tracks that slow down to make room to breath, but make for a great sing-along (check out the album HERE). They made their way through the states last year and are just consistently playing show after show. Check out other tunes on Episode 14, Episode 22, and the Top 25 show of 2011. Anchor's song on this episode is titled, Lazarus Sign, off of their newest album, Lost at the Bottom of the World.
2. Ultima Victima

Ultima Victima are a five-piece hardcore band from Mexico. This band plays some pretty fierce hardcore, nothing short of heavy and aggressive. The band currently has two EP's - La Batalla Sera Eterna (check out a tune from that EP on EPISODE 03) and Muertes Sin Razon (listen to a track from that EP on EPISODE 52), which was released through Panda Claw Records. They also have a music video out for the song, Squalo (check it out HERE), which first appeared on their first EP and later redone for Muertes Sin Razon. The four songs that make up the EP are fast, melodic tunes with a bit of technicality and aggressiveness in their riffs. The band had released the EP late last year which is now also being distributed by Make-that-a-Take Records. A Victory at Sea's song on this episode is titled, With a Voice, off of, Hopeful.
4. Canyons

Canyons are a four-piece hardcore band from Kansas City. This band is very loud and very heavy. They make some sweet noise and everyone should get to know this band. Two years later they released two songs that were featured on a split with Creeper (listen to the tracks HERE). Watch some live footage of their set at Skeletal Lightning Fest HERE. 5. No Contest

No Contest are a four-piece punk band from Grimsby in the northern part of England. They just released a new two song EP (Jacob's Ladder and Firework) featuring some new voices. It's a really nice progression from their previous releases, the Static Motion EP (check out a couple tracks on EPISODE 23 and EPISODE 36) and their debut record, What's Past is Prologue (listen to a track on EPISODE 52). They still keep up with their punk and hardcore styles - fast and melodic. The band has a bunch of shows in the coming weeks. This one is coming up real fast with a pretty fantastic line up of bands.
