Episode #61
1. Clones of the Queen

Clones of the Queen are an electronic-pop trio based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Their tunes feature layers and layers of pretty melodies and sounds that border dreamy landscapes and the electronic. Very nice effects with the guitars and electronics which compliments the excellent vocals. They currently have two EP's, Gate (2010), and Braided (2012), both available at nameyourprice on Bandcamp (check it out HERE). The band also has a new EP in the works (check out more updates on their Facebook HERE). That should be a nice EP to look forward to this year. Clone of the Queen's track on this episode is titled, Blank, off of their Braided EP.
2. Man Eating Sloth

Man Eating Sloth is an electronica and experimental project of one person, Gabe McFarland, who is based in Pulaski, Virginia. His tunes are a nice blend of trip-hop and electronica that border on the experimental and are well diverse in sound. He offers a very nice set of tracks on his EP, Schitzengigz, available through the Furious Hooves label. The tunes are quite percussive and present an array of sounds and electronic melodies. A very nice listen. Other tracks are available on Soundcloud as well (HERE). Man Eating Sloth's song on this episode is titled, The Way (You Make Me Feel), off of the Schitzengigz EP.
3. Silian Rail

Silian Rail are a two-piece instrumental band from Oakland, California. Their tunes are a nice mix of ambient driven indie-pop and rock. Playing with a diverse sound, the band offers a lot with their music considering they are just made up of a guitarist and drummer. The band released their latest album, Each/Other, last year, with the help of a successful campaign through Kickstarter and is currently available through Side With Us Records. The new album is a fine representation of their ability to write solid pop compositions, with a lot of the tunes layered with additional instruments and effects. Very nice sounding. The band announced this year that they will be playing two last shows, one of which happened at the beginning of March and the last one to be announced later. Check out more of their material HERE. Silian Rail's song on this episode is titled, Shapes, off of their album, Each/Other.
4. Bedroom

Bedroom is one person, Noah Kittinger, based in Nashville. The music is some chill ambient dream pop and shoegaze. Really nice use of guitars in his tunes with unlimited amounts of effects and reverb. Bedroom currently has an EP, Toys, and an album, Vivid, both released in 2012. A new single was released at the beginning of the year titled, In My Head. All of his music is available on his Bandcamp (check it out HERE). Be sure to check out his other project, Baraka. This one is a collaboration with another band member (check it out HERE). Bedroom's song on this episode is titled, Falling, off of the album, Vivid.
5. Negative Pegasus

Negative Pegasus are a three-piece psych band from England. The band released their debut album, Looming, through Smalltown America last year. Since then though, the band has also released a new single titled, Unimmortal. Listen to select tracks from the album and the newest single HERE. Their album, Looming, features a set of really hard-psych tracks full of thick fuzzy bass lines and tons of guitar feedback. Lot's of distorted noise and crazy beats here, with some rather abrupt endings and loopy beginnings – expect the unexpected and enjoy the ride. Listen to this band now. Negative Pegasus' song on this episode is titled, Floating Omen, off of, Looming.
