- Episode 15 is finally up! Stream it here or download the episode here.
Featured on this episode are some indie rock, punk, and pop tunes. Great tracks by The Please & Thank Yous, the Power Pellets, The Slats, Super Bowl Rocket Ship, and Citycop. A few of these bands have some shows lined up this month, so be sure to check out their respective websites or the (finally) updated Shows section for more details. On this episode are The Please & Thank Yous from Chicago. They've been around for four years and have two releases out. Check out their bandcamp for more great tunes. Another great band, but no longer around, are the Power Pellets. I've been listening to these guys for a while now, but never had the good fortune to see them live. I think the first time I ever heard a bass guitar solo was on their track, Classmate, another great song by them. The Slats come from Minnesota, a band of many sounds, playing garage rock tunes to experimental stuff. Really fun to listen to. Super Bowl Rocket Ship is a four piece from Nashville, TN. They have a great set of jams and hopefully release more material this year. They also have one the coolest band-names ever. If the guitarist for Citycop played with an electric guitar, it'd change the whole dynamic of the band's sound. But it still sounds pretty rad with an acoustic. Another band to definitely check out. They also have a bunch of shows coming up this month too. Wish I could make it to one of them.
- Also, I decided to put the Shows section back up. Lot's of shows this month, with a great one coming up on St.Patty's Day (And I'm sure a few others in different cities). And I'm sure a bunch more shows considering it's Spring Break this month.
Once again, thanks to all the listeners who've downloaded episodes and visited the site. It means a lot. Please enjoy the new episode. Thanks for listening.

This episode is another ska themed show. Opening the podcast is a band from Vancouver, BC, called Rude City Riot. They're a six-piece that plays some sweet power-ska. A new album is currently set to be released soon. Here more of their tunes here. Another sweet track from Big D and the Kids Table from their album, How It Goes. They too have a new album coming out this year. Exit 24 was a ska band from the island of Oahu. I never got to see those guys play, but rocked their EP, Read...Break!, all throughout high school. I think some members went on to play in other local island ska bands. Stuck Lucky comes from Nashville, TN. Awesome stuff. They'll be playing Bloc Party in April as well as select dates on the Ska is Dead: Young Guns tour. Bloc Party looks awesome and wish I could make it. More info on that here. Also on the episode is a track from New Zealand's, Night Gaunts. Really great stuff. They have their music up for free. Check out the links on their facebook. They also have material on bandcamp. Hope you enjoy the music on this episode. Thanks for listening.

- Episode 17 is finally up for streaming here. The episode is also available for download here.
I wanted to play some music by a couple bands that were on previous episodes. On this episode is another track from Social Concern's album, Cut and Dry (2010). That album appeared on the Top 25 of 2010 list. It's a great album. Also on the episode is another track from Crookedhook, this time from their first full-length record, All We Got (2007). They have a bunch of shows in the works. Check out their website or the Shows section for more details. The other bands that appear on the episode are The Rusty Trombones, Still Alive and Broken Spokes. The Rusty Trombones come from Ontario, Canada and play some pretty tight punk and ska. Check out more of their music on myspace. Still Alive are from Chicago, IL and have a demo out for free download on their bandcamp. They're a bit more hardcore than the other bands on the episode, but mix some reggae riffs into their music pretty well. It can get interesting. Hopefully the band will release some new music later this year. And Broken Spokes, from San Antonio, TX, close the podcast. They recently changed their name to Break Away and more music can be heard on their reverbnation and myspace pages. Some pretty awesome tracks are on this episode, so I hope you enjoy listening to it. Thanks a lot.

This episode has a fantastic line up on it. Opening the show is a band from Southern California called Blighted. Really great sounding band, they have an LP available here and also on bandcamp. They also have a show coming up on May 31 in Sanger, California. Check out their facebook or the Shows section for details. Also on the episode is Kill the Masses from Las Vegas, Nevada, who are now going by the name Aechoes. They too have a show coming up, on May 28. Check out the Shows section for more details. The band is currently working on new material. On a lot of the episodes, I tend to close with a clip from the song, Bones, by No History of Violence. This is a band that I used to play with in La Grande, Oregon. Some really great times with these guys. We played tons of shows in La Grande with some pretty cool bands, both local and out of town. Some of those bands include Sub*Vert, Sprockets, Sally Mae, Mike Got Spiked, Morello and The Sharktopus. I'm also very happy to be able to share a track from these guys, Vultures United. Really fantastic stuff, upbeat, and worth checking out. They come from Orange County, California. Hope to catch one of their shows sometime soon. And lastly, from Arizona, The Beautiful Ones. Great stuff from an up and coming band. They have a new demo out on cassette right now and digitally. Get their new demo for free on their bandcamp. Please enjoy the music on this episode. Support your local scene because without you, there is no scene. Once again, thank you for listening.

Great new tunes on this episode. The opening slot is a track from Invasives titled, If I Was You. I featured another track from their album, Desk Job at Castle Dracula, on the Top 25 show. Invasives just recently finished a tour across Canada. They played shows all through out April and half of May. More shows are set for June as well. Check out their website for more details. Also on the show, Muerte Y Destruccion, a three piece from Madrid, Spain. This trio plays really sweet pop-punk tunes. Their album, La Casa de Fieras, is saturated with it. Awesome stuff. Download it from their bandcamp. Good Men Die Like Dogs are a punk band from Arizona with a few records out. Some new music is in the works, but they have a bunch of tunes all ready available on their website. Good, catchy punk rock from AZ. Also with some fine punk tunes are Neckties Make Me Nervous from Portland, Oregon. The band has since disbanded, but check out the records they still have on their website. Other online outlets still carry copies as well. And from New Jersey, Brick Mower, a punk rock three piece. Lots of great tunes on their new record, Under the Sink, which you can purchase here or here. They too have a bunch of shows lined up for this month as well as in June. Check out more details here. They need to come out West soon...or whenever :-D. Thank you to the bands and thanks for making awesome music. Please enjoy the music on this episode. It's pretty rad stuff. Most of all, thanks for listening!

I'm happy to introduce these bands on the episode. First on the episode is Michigan locals, Act As One. They recently played Bled Fest out in their home state. The lineup featured lots of fantastic bands including, Norma Jean, The Chariot, Every Time I Die, Such Gold, Former Theives and many others. Also on the show is Gunner's Daughter from Chicago, Illinois and Smokejumper from Seattle, Washington. Gunner's Daughter will be releasing a new EP titled, Trust Us When We Tell You, through Death to False Hope Records, sometime in the summer. Smokejumper is taking a small break, but hopefully will start playing again sometime in the summer as well. Their label, Better Half Records, had a team out in this year's Punk Rock Bowling that happened recently. Hope it was a good turn out, heard the shows were amazing. On the episode too is again, The Revision Plan, who were on episode 10 of this podcast. They have a new record coming out very, very soon (June 7) titled, Scream Suburbia. Check out their new track, What Am I Going To Do (With a Gun Rack), on bandcamp. And of course, Ninjas with Syringes. I'm stoked to be able to share a new one from these guys. They have a new record out titled, Oceanographer, and it's freaking awesome. They have it on bandcamp. I recommend picking it up if you like good punk-pop. Enjoy the fantastic music on this episode. And be on the look out for more new episodes coming up shortly. This podcast will turn 1 soon :-D

- Episode 21 is streaming now. Listen to the episode here or download it here.
This show also happens to be the One Year Anniversary Show of this podcast. Twenty episodes ago I started this podcast in hopes to share some cool music with anyone who wanted to listen. Twenty episodes isn't exactly a whole lot, and I try to release them whenever I get the chance. But every one of those shows are full of awesome bands and songs I've come to discover, and in a way, rediscover in the past year. I'm hoping by listening to these episodes, you will find a new band or song you've never heard of before and then maybe share them with your friends and support the bands who release these songs. For me, it's all about supporting the local scene. And here's to hoping you feel the same way.
This episode features seven new tracks from seven awesome bands. The opening song comes from Abandon the Raft, from San Diego, California. It's a new mix of the title track from the House of Gold EP, released in 2010. They have a new EP in the works and shows as well. Check out their facebook for details and for download links to their music. Also from San Diego are Eskera and Lands on Fire. Eskera released a new album in April titled, Ruido Debajo del Puente. It's really tight California punk/ska. Lands on Fire released a few new tunes late in December of last year and just recently posted it on their website for download. It's three new tunes set to be released for an upcoming record. Lands on Fire's last release was their self-titled album in 2008 on Fallen Angel Records. Also on the show is Elba, from Seattle, Washington. I saw these guys twice in the small town of La Grande, Oregon. They were great shows, small in attendance, but awesome performances. I'm glad they're still active and making music. Their new EP is titled, Diplodocus. From Chicago, Illinois, is Voice of Addiction with a track from their new record, Reduce, Reuse, Resist. It's really great punk rock from Chicago. Other punk music on the show comes from Abolitionist, a trio from Portland, Oregon. Their new record, It Used to Rain, is 10 songs of 80's and 90's influenced punk rock. And finally, a track from Thick Shakes, from Massachusetts. The song comes off of their new 7", Why Buy the Cow. It features three short tunes of noisy garage punk rock.
Hope you enjoy the music on this show. Here's to many more episodes for this podcast. Huge thanks to all the bands and listeners. Go out and support local music! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Father's Day! Thank you again. And thanks for listening :-D
