1. Dead Icons
Dead Icons have been keeping busy all year, playing shows all over and also recently signing with Bullet Tooth Recordings. These four Lexington, Kentucky locals have also just finished recording their first full-length, with a release date still in the works, but hopefully soon. A couple video studio-updates were posted on the band's facebook here. They also been posting a little bit on twitter, check it here. Dead Icons were featured in a few episodes with tracks from their Vultures EP and split with Unrestrained. They appeared on episodes three, twelve, and twenty-two. The song on this episode is titled, Building, off off Winter Demo (2008).
2. Mistermeaner
This four-piece recently played a show in Hawaii along side punk veterans, Ira Hayes, who haven't played in a decade. Ira Hayes reunited for that show. Also at the show were The Forgotten, from California, and 13th Legion and Never Enough. Mistermeaner have been featured on episodes three and ten. They're still rocking out. Check out their live shows if you get a chance. The song on this episode is titled, Greed, off of their self-titled album.
3. Up the Fury
Up the Fury was a five-piece hardcore band from Long Island, New York. They have been inactive for quite some time now. Members of Up the Fury have gone on to play in other projects such as Ice Age, Daytrader, and Crime in Stereo. They have released a few recordings including a CD/7” titled, Modern Culture, and one full-length titled, Behind Every Mind. The track on this episode is titled, Wolf Parade, off of Behind Every Mind. Another track from that album appears on Episode Ten.
4. Low Value
Low Value are a four-piece punk rock band from Maribo, Slovenia. They play some fast skate-punk that's often progressive and technical, and at times with some hardcore structures. The band formed in August 2000, and since then have released two full-length albums. Low Value released their first album, The Language of Stolen Music, in 2005. That album featured twelve tracks of some tight progressive punk rock. Their second album, Recharge, was released in early 2010. That album features ten new tracks of more fast straight-up punk rock. The song on this episode is titled, Take Control, off of, The Language of Stolen Music.
5. Less Life
Less Life are a trio (drums, guitar, vocals) from New Jersey. They play some heavy, very aggressive hardcore. Members of Less Life are affiliated with Black Kites, The Assistant, This Ship Will Sink, and others. The band has released a five-song demo at the beginning of the year, and more recently a seven song LP. Both releases are available on bandcamp. Check out their bandcamp here. The name of the LP is, Today Will Be Ours, and is available in vinyl format on the How Soon is Now Records website. The featured song on this episode is titled, Cry Sea Wolf, off of, Today Will Be Ours.
