Penniback records is a fairly new label, started in 2014, originally as a review site, then later turned into something more. Lots going on with this label and it's affiliated bands and network of friends, musicians, artists and much more. Check them out HERE (FACEBOOK, BANDCAMP)
Also on this episode is music by Beach Bums (BANDCAMP), Clit Kat (BANDCAMP), Plumber (BANDCAMP), Sloppy Jane (BANDCAMP), and Super Lunch (BANDCAMP).

EPISODE #106 HAS LAUNCHED! Listen below or HERE or on YouTube
So this past weekend I got to check out Metal Fest 2017 (thanks Todd and Chris!). It was a good time. Got there a bit late due to the fact that I didn't know you couldn't turn left onto Kapiolani from Atkinson, so I made the move to go turn around at Taco Bell at McCully. Dumb idea, that's a one-way street. Apologies to the dude in the Jeep that kept honking at me.
Anyway, all the bands (that I was able to catch sets of) were wonderful. Here's to next year.
Yo TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET NEXT WEEK. koo koo
Hoping to catch the local openers, some solid lineups on the bill.
Some cool tunes on this episode. I play tracks by Anti-Matter (BANDCAMP), Grapefruit (BANDCAMP), Manalive (BANDCAMP), Oceans Deep (BANDCAMP, SAFE INSIDE RECORDS), Stress Position (BANDCAMP)
Enjoy the tunes. Support your local scene. Be safe and be well. Peace!

EPISODE #107 IS HERE! Listen below, HERE or on YouTube. This also be an APPLE PODCAST. Search on iTunes.
Another wonderful episode, it's an UNFAIR FIGHT themed show! Members Pete and Scott join me on the show. This is the Las Vegas, Nevada based band, a 5-piece, hardcore/punk band. Excellent tunes, one of my favorite bands from Las Vegas and just in general.
We talk on a wide range of things from record stores, Grease, album formats and the local Las Vegas music scene. We also touch base on the bands' newest album, False Walls. But just to clarify, at the time of this recording, a release date and album title wasn't set yet, but just so happens this week the band released some news on that. Awesome stuff. The new album is titled, False Walls, set to be released in December. White Vinyl. It'll make a fine Christmas Present ya'll ;)
Be sure to check out Unfair Fight (BANDCAMP). They also be on Instagram and Twitter yo.

EPISODE #108 is LIVE! Listen below, HERE or on YouTube
Some excellent ska/punk/hardcore tunes on today's episode. Be sure to check out the bands' work on their respective links.
Music on this episode by: Codename: Rocky (BANDCAMP), Crookedhook, Night Gaunts (BANDCAMP, PAUL THE KID), Smitz (BANDCAMP), and Still Alive (BANDCAMP).
Attended the first of Smitz' two-day record release shows last week Friday. The first night had a lineup of punk/metal bands, which was fun. I actually haven't seen any of those bands play before except for Never Enough a few years ago (maybe more?), but they were all awesome (Badass Noise, Superfuct, and Smitz). I haven't seen Smitz yet, and only heard their tunes off Cretin Crossover. So when I first played Skullduggerous the day after the release show, it was a totally different sound, mostly because of the horn section. But it's a solid release and worth checking out. Excellent balance of punk/ska/reggae jams.
I wonder if there was a horn section on night 2 which had a more ska friendly lineup of bands. Enjoy this playlist of awesome tunes. Thanks for listening!

THE NEW EPISODE IS HERE!
EPISODE #109! Listen below, HERE, Tumblr or on YouTube
On today's show, I have guest, Jordan, of Vultures United.
The band is currently a four-piece and based in Orange County, California. Their latest release is a double album, I Still Feel Cold, featuring 30 songs total. The first part of the album is titled, Memory Loss, and the second, Adulthood. It's a mixture of styles, both old and new, with the bands' previous release, the Girls EP, acting as a segue into their more progressive sound. It's experimental, aggressive, and most of all fresh. All new original material since 2010's, Savages. Be sure to check it out on Bandcamp (HERE) and through Red Flag Records (HERE).
The talk with Jordan touches base on the new album, the Girls EP, members of the band, past projects and a whole lot of other stuff. All insightful and an overall fun chat. Thanks for listening.
