1. Dangers
Dangers are a four-piece hardcore band from California that began in 2005. They play very aggressive variations of hardcore and punk. Dangers have several releases out including a self-titled EP (2005), the Anger LP (2006), and their most recent album, Messy, Isn't It? (2010), a joint release between Vitriol and Penguin Suit Records. Check out their bandcamp for more tunes and other releases. They are currently on tour through Europe and have been since the beginning of July with only a few dates left, including a stop at Fluff Fest. 2. Innertwyne
Innertwyne come from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This four-piece formed in 2003 and have released three albums since then. Their releases include a self-titled record (2004), Tumaco (2007), and Escaping Disaster (2010). The album, Escaping Disaster, was featured on the Top 25 2010 episode with the track, Perfect Timing. Innertwyne's sound fuses both metal and hardcore sounds with much classical Spanish-guitar influences. The music is both epic and versatile. Innertwyne have been active throughout the year, playing shows occasionally. Live footage can be found on YouTube. Check out their channel here. 3. Sub*Vert
Coming from Boise, Idaho, Sub*Vert are a five-piece alternative hard-rock band. They haven't been active for a while, but a couple tunes are still streaming on their myspace here. The track, Z for Zachariah, from their, When the Earth Screams EP, appeared on the first episode of this podcast. The song on this episode is titled, Inside Out, off of their second EP, Time to Wake.
4. Reptoids
Reptoids are from Chicago, Illinois. They are a four-piece metal influenced rock band that has been around for five years. Reptoids currently have a couple songs up for download on their reverbnation page as part of their V3.0 demo. Check them out here. The tracks are titled, Fire in the Hole and Kitty III. Both tracks are pretty heavy sounding with some tight guitar riffs. Reptoids have been playing shows throughout the year and have one coming up with Chicago Thrash Ensemble and Himalayan. 5. No Contest
No Contest are a four-piece hardcore band from the United Kingdom. They are based in Grimsby, a town in the north east part of England. The band recently released their new EP, Static Motion. It is available on their bandcamp, also with physical copies, which should be available at this show. The EP is four songs of really energetic hardcore. It is definitely a fine EP worth checking out. No Contest plan to start playing more shows in August and hope to cover most of the UK by Christmas. The featured song on this episode is titled, Close Up, off of, Static Motion.
