1. She Likes Todd

She Likes Todd are a four-piece from Chicago, Illinois. They play a pretty tight mix of punk and metal. A lot of their songs have guitar solos and aggressive riffs, speedy technical-punk structures, and a whole lot of catchy melodies. They have a few albums out, with their latest, A Story Still Untold (2010), streaming on their website here. The track, Too Poor to Pay Attention, off of, A Story Still Untold, appears on Episode 14. She Likes Todd have several shows coming up in October, including one with Authority Zero in Chicago. Check out their facebook for dates and details here. The song on this episode is titled, Two Faced, off of the album, Falling Much Too Fast.
2. Situation Red

Situation Red are punk band based in Cincinnati. This four-piece began in 2009 and since then has released one album titled, Three Locks on Every Door. The album (2010) is seven tracks in 17 minutes of straight-up punk and rock. The songs are fast and catchy (with some pretty cool guitar solos) and very aggressive. The track, Some of Us, even has a saxophone lead during a sequence on the song. A few tracks (Kira, Roaches and Stab My Back) are streaming on the band's website here. Aside from playing shows throughout the year, the band has been working on new material for an upcoming record. The song on this episode is titled, Stab My Back, off of, Three Locks on Every Door.
3. A Life Worth Living

A Life Worth Living are a five-piece punk-pop band from New York. They have one three-song demo and a four-song EP titled, Motorcycles in Heat. Both releases are full of fast and technical punk-pop tunes. Very good stuff. Several tracks from those releases are streaming and up for download on their soundcloud here. A Life Worth Living have been playing shows on and off this year. The band has a show coming up on October 8 in Staten Island with five other bands on the lineup. Check here for details on that show. The song on this episode is titled, Stupid Stupid, off of, Motorcycles in Heat.
4. Tweaked

Tweaked were a five-piece punk band from the Leeward side on Oahu, Hawaii. They released one studio album (Breaking the Curse) and a live record of their set on KTUH's Monday Night Live program. They were also featured on several compilations released by Hawaiian Express. On Breaking the Curse, Tweaked focused (very humorously) on topics about love, heart-break, jealousy, friendship, and family. They even provided (small-kine) skits in-between a few tracks (T.V. Scenario's 1-3). They are certainly one of my favorite bands. It was their singer, Mark Peralta who said, “Support your local scene because without you, there is no scene.” Very true, basically what this podcast is based on. The song on this episode is titled, Idiot, off of, Breaking the Curse. That song is also featured on the first Hawaiian Express Compilation.
5. HeyMike!

HeyMike! are a four-piece punk-pop band from Southern California. The band has been playing and releasing music since the late 90's. Aside from their early demo's, the band has released two albums, Embrace Your Hooks, and a self-titled record through Takeover Records. The members that make up HeyMike! are Steven Neufeld, Josh McDonald, Ben Harper, and Justin Cabrera. Their most recent release is titled, Pop and Circumstance, released in May. The new album features twelve songs of some fine pop-punk tunes. A couple familiar songs appear on the album as well as some new ones too. Very excellent record. It is currently up for digital download. Check out their facebook for details on how to pick up a copy. The song featured on this episode is titled, Post Guardian, off of, Pop and Circumstance.
